Local food producer re-opens in Albany
Chef Sarah Bennetto O’Brien is thrilled to be finally open at her new location in Albany, PEI. In February she discovered, post moving, that her new location in Borden-Carleton wasn’t suitable for the business’ needs. That meant she was on the hunt for a new spot from which to create and sell her handpies and she found it in the old Scotiabank building on Route 115 in Albany.
The new location is much larger and will allow Bennetto O’Brien the ability to expand her handpie production. Since opening in March 2017, The Handpie Co. has gained a cult following in PEI and beyond for its delicious savoury pies.
