On December 8, 2017 a new organization focused on connecting consumers to the food they eat was launched. Farm & Food Care PEI (FFCPEI) is associated with Farm & Food Care organizations already established in Ontario and Saskatchewan.
“PEI has excellent food…Farm and Food Care PEI’s efforts are going to focus on strengthening the connection between the consumer and their food. We hope to do that in a variety of ways. Farm and Food Care will be active in developing resources, both for consumers and also for food partners in public outreach and communication,” said Kayla Nieuwhof, coordinator, FFCPEI.
