The PEIISC is hosting its 3rd annual workshop on Friday, March 16 from 1-4 at the Farm Centre on University Avenue. Everyone from all walks of life, sectors and parts of the Island are encouraged to attend!
The meeting will include an educational expo and presentation series, featuring a variety of Island groups and individuals who work on invasive species projects. A wide range of topics are on the agenda, including education and management of Glossy Buckthorn and Japanese Knotweed, managing invasives in PEI’s national park, a Spotter’s Network update, and a sneak peek at a pilot project on oriental bittersweet. Horticultural Technician, David Carmichael, will also be on-hand to discuss invasives in landscaping and gardening.
